Blizzard has opened a short Twitch Drop window for the Pouch of Violet Dust Toy in World of Warcraft: Forever, giving players from November 4 at 4:30 pm PST to November 12 at 4:30 pm PST to claim a launch-celebration reward tied to the WoW Forever Servers rollout. The item can be earned by watching eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch.tv, then used inside WoW: Forever during the launch celebration period.
The toy has a simple effect, but one that changes the mood of a camp fast: it turns a campfire purple and extends all camp benefits by 1 hour, for a total duration of 2 hours. Once activated, that benefit is shared with other players resting at the Camp, so one claim can help more than one person at a time without anyone needing to trigger a separate copy of the effect.
That matters because the reward is not permanent. The Pouch of Violet Dust Toy exists only within WoW: Forever, can only be used during the WoW: Forever Launch Celebration event period, and will be removed from players' collections after early December, when the event period ends. Blizzard is effectively turning a cosmetic reward into a short-lived marker of the launch itself, which makes the claim window the main story rather than the item alone.
There is also a practical catch for anyone trying to claim it at the last minute. Players must link their Twitch account through Battle.net to participate, and if they have changed their password or made changes to either account, they need to relink them. A relink also brings a 7-day cooldown before a new Twitch account can be linked again, and it can take up to 24 hours for the reward to appear in game after it is claimed.
The result is a narrow window with real limits: four hours of eligible World of Warcraft content on Twitch.tv, an active claim period that closes on November 12 at 4:30 pm PST, and a reward that disappears from collections in early December. For players who want the Pouch of Violet Dust Toy in World of Warcraft: Forever, the important deadline is not when the launch celebration starts, but when the last chance to claim it ends.
