The move lands just as fans were looking at the shifting shape of the tour. Finneas had been set to open on six South American dates in late November and early December, so his exit removes a full run of shows rather than a single stop. It also places him alongside Aaron Rowe, Lukas Graham and Beoga, all of whom have now left the tour after Macklemore's dismissal.
Finneas made his decision on social media on Monday, the same day Macklemore was dismissed from the tour. Macklemore had been removed after forceful Free Palestine comments at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on September 4 and 5, and the fallout spread quickly through the supporting lineup. Lukas Graham announced minutes after Finneas that they were withdrawing from the remaining dates, underscoring how fast the bill has unraveled once the first exit became public.
The dispute is not only about the words spoken onstage. Ed Sheeran said Macklemore's departure was not his decision and that he tried to intervene, while Macklemore later accused Robert Kraft of orchestrating his removal. That leaves the central question less about who left than about who had the power to make the call, and whether the tour can hold together after losing multiple openers in a single day. For now, the answer is no: the withdrawal keeps widening, and no replacement has been announced.
