Noel Clarke has been charged by UK police with a series of sexual offences involving five women, and the 50-year-old is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21. London’s Metropolitan Police said the case includes two charges of sexual assault, three charges of voyeurism and one count of exposure.
The charge announcement lands after detectives spent a year investigating Clarke and sent a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the charges. The allegations cover conduct said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016, turning what had been a long-running public dispute into a criminal case that now has a court date.
Clarke has always denied wrongdoing, even as the legal pressure around him has deepened. That matters because the new charges do not stand alone: they follow reporting by in 2021 that detailed allegations of sexual misconduct by more than 20 women, a dispute that later ended with Clarke defeated in his libel lawsuit against.
For Clarke, the timing is stark. He played Mickey Smith in Doctor Who, created Kidulthood, and had roles in Star Trek Into Darkness and Bulletproof, but his last series on UK television was ITV’s Viewpoint in 2021. He was arrested on September 25, 2025, and the next step is straightforward: Westminster Magistrates’ Court will hear the case on October 21, where the charges will begin to be tested in public.
What remains unanswered is not whether the case exists, but what the evidence passed to prosecutors shows and how far it takes the allegations. For now, police have taken the rare step of bringing multiple charges across nearly a decade, and Clarke will have to answer them in court.
