Dinniman’s 2024 novel entered the conversation even though it only came out last year, while Sager’s new horror book also broke through at the same time.
The timing matters because the weekly roundup is built by combining results from, Amazon Charts, Publishers Weekly, and Indie Bestsellers, with separate fiction and nonfiction groupings folded into the final view. That means the appearance of a title on several of those lists at once is the clearest sign of current momentum, and this week both Dinniman and Sager made that jump.
Dinniman’s book appeared on the lists from, Amazon and Indie Bestsellers, while Sager’s The Unknown showed up on, and Indie Bestsellers. Even with those new entries, the broader picture did not change much. Book Riot said the list continues to lack diversity on many levels and remains disproportionately by white authors, a reminder that a week of commercial movement does not fix the deeper shape of the market. The roundup also points readers toward Indie Bestsellers and Independent Press bestsellers, where books such as Etna, Kin and Triage appear in the wider ecosystem outside the biggest national charts.
For now, the clean answer is simple: Dinniman and Sager are the week’s breakout names, and The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook is on Best Seller List despite being a 2024 release because it has now crossed enough of the major charts to register in the combined tally. What happens next will be measured the same way, when the next set of list results shows whether that momentum holds or fades.
