Google unveiled the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL on Wednesday, putting its 11th generation of Pixel phones on the market with the Tensor G6 chip and a heavier push into AI. The company said the new lineup is built around Gemini Intelligence, with the latest Gemini Nano model running on-device to deliver faster help that feels more personal.
The headline changes are not cosmetic. Google said the Pixel 11 camera bar is 40% thinner, while the standard Pixel 11 is designed to handle everyday splashes, scratches and drops. The three phones all start at 256GB of storage and all include Pixelsnap built in, with the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro also supporting Qi 2.2 25W charging.
For buyers searching the Pixel 11 Pro name now, the draw is the premium tier. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL come in Canyon, Fog, Olive and Obsidian, and both use a Super Actua display rated up to 3,600 nits. Google also says the new anti-scratch display coating delivers more than double the scratch resistance of the previous generation, building on the drop-resistant design first introduced in the Pixel 9 series.
That durability pitch comes with a familiar trade-off. The Pro models are the ones with the brightest displays, the stronger scratch protection and HiLight, a Pro-only feature that uses colored LED lights around the camera flash to show when Gemini is listening, thinking or responding. The standard Pixel 11 is the smaller, more pocketable option, but the most advanced display and charging features are reserved for the larger Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL.
Google did not give a purchase date in the unveiling, which leaves the one practical question that matters most to shoppers unanswered for now: when the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL will actually be available to buy.
