The Dancing with the Stars cast lost two more couples on Tuesday night, with Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess and Jackson Olson and Emma Slater sent home in a double elimination on the horror films episode. The field in season 35 is shrinking fast as the competition moves toward the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
That is the result viewers were searching for after a week in which no one went home during Dedication Night, even though four contestants — Connor Wood, Jackson Olson, Tatyana Ali and Cameron — had all tied for the lowest judges' scores at 32 points. Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov had led the leaderboard with 38 points, but the scoring logjam left the elimination picture unresolved until the next round.
The show’s system blends judges' scores with viewer votes, so low scores do not automatically send a couple out and high scores do not guarantee safety. Instead, the combined totals decide who stays and who goes, which is why Dedication Night ended with no elimination at all despite the tie at the bottom.
The double elimination came after 10 couples took the ballroom floor with routines inspired by horror films, turning a night built for suspense into one that finally resolved the missed cut from the previous week. Cameron had already been part of the group sitting near the bottom of the leaderboard, and this time the votes no longer kept him in the race.
With Cameron and Olson out, the season moves on with fewer couples and a clearer path to the finale. Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, streams on Disney+ and is available the next day on Hulu.
