McDonald’s and Pokémon are bringing back the Pokémon Happy Meal starting Nov. 10 at participating restaurants nationwide, giving fans 15 collectible toys and 15 collectible trading cards in a limited-time run. The rollout lands with a familiar promise and a new set of pieces to chase, from mini-boxes shaped around fan-favorite Pokémon to randomized cards pulled from a 15-card reprint set.
Joseph Green identified the Nov. 10 return date, the detail that puts the promotion on the calendar now for anyone planning a stop at McDonald’s. For collectors, the draw is simple: each meal includes two randomized cards, and seven of the cards in the set are foil, making the release feel more like a proper collectible drop than a standard kids’ meal giveaway.
Fans and trainers can also scan the QR code on the Happy Meal box to open a digital game that sends players searching for the 15 Pokémon Happy Meal toys hidden around a virtual classroom and playground. That extra layer matters because it folds the food promotion into the game itself, turning the box into a shortcut to a second part of the campaign.
The return also carries a small contradiction inside it. McDonald’s and Pokémon are reviving a partnership that has already appeared before, yet the 2026 rollout is being framed as the first time since 2018 that customers get a genuine 3D collectible toy with playable cards. In other words, the name is old, but the mix of toys and playable cards is being treated as a reset.
What comes next is a staggered international release that stretches well beyond the Nov. 10 launch in the USA. November 2026 includes Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, New Zealand and Spain, December 2026 adds markets including the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the UAE, and January 2027 brings a final wave that includes Costa Rica and El Salvador. For now, the only certainty is that the Pokémon Happy Meal is coming back while supplies last, and the first boxes go out on Nov. 10.
