Grand Theft Auto VI is now tied to a specific launch window: pre-loading is set to begin on November 12, and the game is reportedly scheduled to unlock at midnight on November 19. The reported download size is 210 GB, a number that puts the question of when is GTA 6 coming out alongside a more immediate one for players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — whether they have enough room ready for it.
PlayStation Game Size said the standard edition is $79.99 and laid out the timing in a simple line: download size 210 GB, pre-load November 12, release November 19, release time midnight. That means players will not be waiting until launch day to start the download. They will have a full week to clear space, queue the install and prepare for a game that is already shaping up as one of the year's biggest releases.
The scale matters because 210 GB is not a casual install. On a PS5, usable storage is limited once the operating system and other games are taken into account, so a download that large can crowd out a system fast. The reported figure also comes before launch, which means it can still move if the final build changes, but for now it is the clearest guide players have for planning around the release.
There is a second wrinkle for anyone not on console. A PC edition is expected in early 2027, which leaves PC players waiting far longer even as the console version moves toward its November release. Rockstar has also already started building the game's wider world around that launch, revealing six in-game radio stations earlier this month, while the official launch trailer for GTA VI arrived on Oct. 15.
For now, the answer is straightforward: GTA VI is set to arrive on November 19 at midnight, with pre-loading opening November 12. The only open question is whether 210 GB is the final number players will see when the countdown ends.
