YouTube TV is removing Court TV, Tastemade and The Young Turks from its lineup starting September 30, 2026, ending access to the three channels on a service that carries more than 100 channels. The change also reaches into subscribers’ Libraries, where recorded content from those channels will no longer be available.
The timing makes the move stand out because YouTube TV has been reshaping its channel offering while still leaning on major broadcast networks such as ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. It also has been adding and adjusting other programming in recent months, including lower-cost, genre-specific plans alongside its $82.99-per-month base package.
For viewers, the removal is straightforward: if they use YouTube TV for live court coverage, food programming or current affairs, those feeds disappear on the date given. Court TV is known for trial coverage, Tastemade focuses on food, and The Young Turks covers current affairs, so the cut reaches three very different audience groups at once.
The timing is harder to square with YouTube TV’s recent handling of Allen Media Group channels. In May, the service renewed its carriage agreement with Allen Media Group and kept The Weather Channel, Comedy.TV, Justice Central and Recipe.TV. Then in July it updated its directory to add HBCU Go, Cars.TV, Pets.TV and TheGrio, all part of Allen Media Group, which makes the removal of Court TV, Tastemade and The Young Turks harder to explain.
No reason was given for the removals, and no replacement channels or compensation were spelled out. That leaves subscribers with a clear date and an unclear rationale: on September 30, 2026, the three channels are scheduled to go dark on YouTube TV, and the only thing still to learn is why these three were chosen even as other Allen Media Group networks stayed on the service.
