Nintendo briefly put a price on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake before pulling the listing. The digital edition for Switch 2 appeared on the Australian Nintendo Store at AUD $94.95, then went offline.
The timing is why people are looking at it now: the listing surfaced ahead of today's dedicated Zelda Nintendo Direct broadcast, giving fans a concrete number where there had only been speculation. For Tom Phillips, who first flagged the store entry, the price is notable because it lands at the lower end of Nintendo's current Switch 2 pricing instead of the premium $69.99 tier attached to games such as Mario Kart World or Donkey Kong Bananza.
That matters because Nintendo has settled into a range of prices for its Switch 2 releases, and Ocarina of Time's AUD $94.95 tag lines up with the cheaper end of that scale. It also matches the Australian price point of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, which sells for $59.99 in the U.S. or £49.99 in the U.K., while this year's Star Fox was cheaper still at $49.99. Newer Switch 2 games also tend to cost more in physical form than as digital downloads, which is one reason the store entry reads more like a digital tier than a broad statement about every version of the game.
That is where the uncertainty begins. Nintendo appears to have revealed the price by mistake, and the listing was taken down, so it is hard to say whether AUD $94.95 is the final price for the remake itself or simply an accidental store entry that got ahead of an announcement. The same day could still bring a clearer answer, because Nintendo's Zelda Nintendo Direct is the next confirmed moment tied to the game's reveal.
For now, the number does two things at once: it gives the clearest sign yet that Nintendo is using a layered price structure for Switch 2 software, and it shows how little weight can be placed on a store page before Nintendo decides to make it official.
