Sony has shown two limited-edition DualSense wireless controller designs tied to Grand Theft Auto VI, and the clock is now set on when players can buy them. Pre-orders start on September 10, with both controllers launching on November 19.
The two versions are the DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and the DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition. PlayStation.Blog published the first look after the reveal at State of Play, giving fans a rare tie-in product with a firm release path instead of a vague tease.
That matters because the controllers are not just cosmetic reskins. Both carry a shimmering, color-shifting finish, molded palm tree details and official Grand Theft Auto VI branding, echoing the game’s Vice City setting. The DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are also meant to respond to the action in Grand Theft Auto VI, turning the accessory into part of the game’s launch story rather than simple merchandise.
The availability split is where the picture gets tighter. The white limited-edition controller will be sold in limited quantities globally through and participating retailers, while the black limited-edition controller is more restricted, landing exclusively through where available and through select retailers in other regions. Sony did not say how many units will be made available, which leaves the word “limited” doing a lot of work for buyers trying to plan a pre-order.
Pricing is fixed across the line at $84.99 USD, ¥12,480 including tax, €84.99 and £74.99. In the U.S., pre-orders through begin at 7:00am PT and 10:00am ET on September 10; in the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, the same window opens at 10:00am local time. For now, the date that matters is September 10, when the controllers go on pre-order and the limited supply starts to matter in real time. By November 19, the launch will arrive alongside Grand Theft Auto VI itself, and Mason Morea’s first look will already have turned into a race for a piece of the game’s hardware identity.
