Chase Daniel is teaming up with Bussin’ With The Boys for a new Sunday NFL show called The First Read, a fresh partnership he announced on September 1, 2026. The show will run every Sunday and center on the biggest games, quarterbacks, storylines and moments from around the league.

The announcement matters because Daniel is turning a growing media profile into a bigger weekly role. In 2026, he is also set to be part of the main SEC Nation set and to call Thursday Night Football college football games, giving him a wider platform as the football season begins to build.

Daniel said the new show will give viewers a former quarterback’s view of the weekend slate, and he made clear that THE BREAKDOWN will stay focused on film. Bussin’ With The Boys will also become the new exclusive partner of that show, which keeps Daniel tied to quarterback analysis while adding another layer to the collaboration.

The move also shows how far Will Compton and Taylor Lewan have pushed their brand since leaving Barstool Sports in January 2025 and setting out on their own with a FanDuel sponsorship deal. Before the start of the 2025 football season, Bussin’ With The Boys landed a deal with, and it later added a new college football show with Josh Pate ahead of the 2026 football season. Daniel joined in 2025 alongside them, so this latest step builds on a relationship that was already in place rather than starting from scratch.

That is what makes the announcement feel like an expansion instead of a debut. Bussin’ With The Boys has kept growing, and Daniel, a former star at the University of Missouri who spent years as one of the NFL’s top backup quarterbacks, is turning that experience into a bigger Sunday role just as the league’s weekly rhythm returns.
