PlayStation has shown off two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI, giving the game’s biggest hardware tie-in so far a concrete launch date and a clear place to buy it. The Gta 6 Controller reveal came during State of Play, where the company presented a black version and a white version built around the same Vice City theme.
The controllers are not just recolors. Both designs use a shimmering, color-shifting finish, molded palm tree details and official Grand Theft Auto VI branding, turning the pad itself into a small piece of the game’s look and feel. That matters because the controllers are arriving while interest in Grand Theft Auto VI remains high and ahead of the game’s own November 19 launch.
For Mason Morea, the detail that stands out is the split in availability. The White Limited Edition will be sold in limited quantities globally through and participating retailers, while the Black Limited Edition is exclusive to where available, with select retailers handling it in other regions. In Portugal, pre-orders run through playstation.com/store/hardware, and in the U.S. they begin through at 7:00am PT and 10:00am ET on September 10.
That staggered sales plan leaves one question hanging over an otherwise polished reveal: how many people will actually get one. PlayStation has said only that both controllers will be available in limited quantities, without giving a unit count, which means the real race begins when pre-orders open on September 10 at 10:00am local time in the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and then continues until the November 19 launch date.
The pricing is already set at $84.99 USD, ¥12,480 including tax, €84.99 and £74.99. For players waiting on something more tangible than trailers and release windows, the controllers are the first new Grand Theft Auto VI item with a fixed date, and they arrive with the same message as the game itself: the countdown is no longer abstract.
