Halloween Horror Nights 35 arrived at Universal Orlando Resort in 2026 with 10 new houses, giving the anniversary year a bigger lineup and a sharper identity. Five of those houses were built around existing IPs, while five were original creations, a split that turned the event into both a showcase of familiar names and a test of new ideas.
The IP houses included Stranger Things 5, Sinners, Hellraiser, Ozzy Osbourne, and Evil Dead Burn. Lora Sauls said the Hellraiser house had been on the team’s bucket list for years, and added that Clive Barker only communicated with the team through traditional postal services. That detail gave the house a long-built, old-school feel, even as the event leaned on some of the biggest titles in Halloween entertainment.
That pull between old and new also ran through the original side of the lineup. The H.R. Bloodengutz house was described as a spiritual successor to the Slaughter Sinema series, and its rooms were themed to different titles, including Conjure the Funk and The Madness of Dr. Pumpkinspice, which were singled out as clear favorites. It was a reminder that Halloween Horror Nights does not rely only on recognizable franchises; it also still uses its own characters and concepts to shape the night.
The anniversary framing matters because the event is not just adding houses for the sake of volume. In 2026, the house list was built to signal a milestone year, but it also carried a quieter contradiction: one of the marquee elements was a final goodbye to Stranger Things. That gives the season a split tone, celebrating a long run while also closing a chapter that has helped define the event for years.
