Britt Baker answered another fan with the same short reply she has been using for weeks, telling one poster she was “At the beach” after a question about whether she would return at Wembley Stadium. The exchange came as AEW fans kept pressing for signs of a comeback before All In on August 30.
The timing matters because Baker has not wrestled for AEW since November 2024, and the silence around her status has only made every post draw more attention. This week she shared an image of herself catching a sunset at the beach, then replied to a fan on X who wrote, “Wish you would return at Wembley,” with the same simple answer. In March, she had already used a similarly brief response when someone asked why she had not returned at AEW Revolution.
That public interest was sharpened on Thursday, August 27, when Tony Khan addressed Baker during the AEW All In media call. He called her an AEW original, said she had competed at All In London before and noted that the last time AEW was at Wembley Stadium, Baker was on the show. Khan also said he knows fans are excited about her, that she is still under contract and that he wants her back, while adding that the usual advice still applies: stay tuned.
That is the part that keeps the story unsettled. AEW has not given an official explanation for Baker’s absence, and Khan has stopped short of saying when she will be back. He has only signaled that her return is something he expects at some point, which does not answer the immediate question of whether she will appear at All In, let alone whether she is being held for a later date.
For now, Baker is not advertised for All In or for the next stretch of AEW TV. The company has September 9 Dynamite set aside for Rebel, also identified as Tanea Brooks, who is battling ALS, and another Dynamite in Baker’s hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, comes a couple of weeks later. Those dates only increase the pressure on the next move, because each passing show becomes another chance for Baker to reappear — and another reminder that she has not yet done so.
