Molly Martens has revealed that she is six months pregnant with her first child and expects to give birth in late November. The 42-year-old shared the news in a social media post, where she also asked other expectant mothers for advice on how to read her 20-week scan.

The disclosure matters because it puts a fresh spotlight on Martens nearly two years after her release from prison and at a moment when she has been trying to live more quietly. She has moved in with Josh Parrott in Kingston, and Parrott, an engineer, bought his Knoxville house in October 2025. Martens's name does not appear on the deeds to the property, leaving her future living arrangements tied to a home she does not legally own.

That detail gives the pregnancy a sharper edge. Jack said he had zero interest in Martens's life, but said he was deeply concerned for the child she is expecting. He said he is still recovering 11 years on from the abuse he and Sarah endured for years, and added that he fears another child could one day go through something similar. His reaction is rooted in the case that made Martens known in the first place: Jason Corbett was beaten to death with a baseball bat and a concrete brick in the early hours of August 2, 2015, when he was 39.

Martens and Tom served four years and three months for the voluntary manslaughter of Corbett after a controversial appeal overturned their second-degree murder convictions. The killing later became the basis for the Netflix documentary A Deadly American Marriage. Martens has kept a low profile since her release in June 2024, but the pregnancy has drawn her back into public view, this time not over the old case itself but over what kind of safeguards, if any, will surround the child she is due to have in late November.

That is now the question hanging over her life: not the fact of the pregnancy, but the protections around it. Jack has already said he hopes the child is safe and that any concerns are listened to and acted upon. For Martens, the due date is set. For everyone else, what follows is still unwritten.
