Just Like Heaven returns to Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, Aug. 22, with The Strokes closing the festival on the Orion Stage. The one-day event spreads across two stages and packs its biggest set into the final hours, giving festivalgoers a tight schedule to plan around before the gates even open.
That planning starts early. Festival gates open at noon, Cosmic Kids Land runs from noon to 6 p.m., and parking lots open at 10 a.m., with day-of parking available if spaces have not already sold out. Children 10 and younger get free admission, but no more than two children may enter per supervising parent or guardian.
The final stretch of the night is the main draw. LCD Soundsystem plays from 7:40-8:55 p.m. before The Strokes take over from 9:40-10:55 p.m., while Chromeo closes the Stardust Stage with a 45-minute set beginning at 8:55 p.m. The lineup also includes TV Girl, The Rapture, Feist, Dayglow, Twin Peaks, Matt and Kim, STRFKR and Whitney, with George Clanton, Coco & Clair Clair, Pixel Grip and Tanlines also on the bill.
Beyond the music, the festival leans into the full-day experience. The Heavenly Objects Market returns with vintage and handmade clothing and goods from local vendors, A Club Called Rhonda brings DJ sets to its checkered dance floor, and Bob Baker Marionette Theater takes over Cosmic Kids Land. That mix is part of the appeal, but it also makes the event feel tightly managed: overnight parking, RVs, tailgating and camping are not permitted, and the bag policy is strict.
Festivalgoers may bring clear bags up to 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, or non-clear bags no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Empty plastic water bottles up to 64 ounces are allowed, along with non-aerosol sunscreen, blankets or towels up to 50 by 70 inches, handheld fans, empty personal-size plastic water misters, parasols, binoculars and portable phone chargers. Nonprofessional digital cameras, disposable cameras, Polaroids and film cameras are permitted, as are GoPros without poles or extenders, while professional cameras, video cameras, selfie sticks, tripods, drones, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, glass or metal bottles and large bags are among the items kept out.
Accessible parking is limited by pass type, bicycle parking is in the north portion of Lot I, and the day’s full set-time schedule is what turns the festival from a poster into a plan. With the closing act already locked in, the next thing readers need is simple: show up on Saturday, Aug. 22 with the rules in mind, because the biggest changes at Just Like Heaven 2026 are the ones that shape how the day actually goes.
