Bailey Zimmerman apologized on Tuesday after charges were filed over an incident at Sandia Resort & Casino that investigators say caused $16,000 in damage. In a statement aimed at the Pueblo of Sandia, the singer said he was taking the legal matter seriously and called his actions a failure on his part.

He said he wanted to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino, then added that he was sorry to fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance. That apology came after court documents obtained by KOB 4 said investigators accused Zimmerman of trashing his hotel room on May 27 after he canceled his show that evening, turning what should have been a concert stop into a legal and financial mess.

Zimmerman said he never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful and that he took full accountability for everything that happened. Investigators painted a far uglier picture. They said he played golf with friends that day, intentionally burned other men with a cigarette, threw instruments, tripped over himself and shoved band members during sound check, while security footage reportedly showed him spitting toward a security officer.

There is still one part of the case that has not been spelled out publicly: the specific charges themselves. But the damage figure, the canceled show and the apology now give the dispute a clearer shape. Sandia Resort and Casino staff asked Zimmerman and his team to leave the property, investigators said, and when he refused, Sandia police escorted him off the property. Cleaning staff found his hotel room in shambles the next day.

Zimmerman said he was reflecting on the disappointment and concern he caused, and that he was committed to doing the work necessary to learn and grow. For now, the legal case hangs over the apology, and the next real answer is whether the charges lead to a court fight that forces him to account for the gap between what he told fans and what investigators say happened that night.
