Two of Antibes’ most sought-after yacht berths have been put on the market, with the A01 and A02 moorings on the famous now being marketed through brokerage firm . The berths are reportedly linked to , who acquired them in 2020, and no asking price has been disclosed.

The listing matters because these are not ordinary slips. Industry observers estimate the pair could fetch several tens of millions of euros, reflecting their place at Port Vauban, the French Riviera marina that was upgraded to become the first in the world capable of supplying liquid hydrogen to large pleasure vessels. The berths were adapted for Breakthrough, the 119-metre hydrogen-powered superyacht Gates reportedly commissioned.

That yacht never became part of his own waterfront routine. Breakthrough was sold before Gates ever used it, in a deal worth around $650 million, and is now owned by Canadian businessman . The sale of the moorings follows the yacht itself into a new chapter, with the value of the berths tied as much to their engineering as to their address.

There is, though, a reason the market is watching the move with more than routine interest. French media suggested Gates’ 2021 divorce and rising scrutiny over the environmental impact of ultra-luxury yachts may have influenced the decision to sell, a reminder that the clean-maritime showcase surrounding Breakthrough did not fully shield it from criticism. That backdrop has only sharpened the appeal of the berths, even as it leaves open who will buy A01 and A02 next, and for how much.

Offers are now being taken privately, but the final buyer remains undisclosed. For a stretch of dockside real estate once adapted around one of the world’s most closely watched superyachts, the next owner is the last missing piece.
