Call of Duty: Warzone is being pulled from Xbox One on June 4, 2026, and new downloads will stop that same day, adding fresh pressure to players who still rely on older hardware. The game will remain playable for people who already have it in their library, but only through the end of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Activision said Warzone on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be available to play through the end of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and that new downloads will no longer be available on those platforms starting June 4. The company also said the game can still be installed and played until the end of Season 06 if it is owned in a player’s platform library. Pure Xbox summarized the change bluntly: “New downloads will no longer be available.”
The cutoff lands in a crowded stretch for older consoles. Horizon Chase Turbo and Rec Room are expected to disappear on June 1, 2026, meaning Warzone’s removal on June 4 would make it the third Xbox One game set to be delisted in early June 2026. The in-game store inside the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Warzone will stay up a little longer, but only until June 25, 2026, when it is set to be removed.
The timing also draws a sharper line between old and new Xbox hardware. Warzone on Series X and Series S will still survive, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will not be coming to Xbox One and PS4 when it launches in October. That leaves owners of the older machines with one more window to keep playing, but not much reason to expect the franchise to pause its move away from them.
For players on Xbox One, the practical message is simple: if Warzone is already in the library, it can stay installed and playable for now. If it is not, June 4 closes the door on a fresh download, and the rest of the summer will likely be spent watching the older version of the game wind down piece by piece.
