will begin offering a in early June, giving shoppers a new way to buy the console with one digital title for $499.99. The limited-time package will be sold through participating retailers and includes a download code for one of three games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokémon Pokopia.

The company says the bundle delivers up to $29.99 in value compared with buying the system and game separately at the suggested retail price. It also puts the new hardware front and center: Nintendo Switch 2 supports games at up to 4K resolution, uses reimagined Joy-Con 2 controllers with mouse control functionality in compatible games and includes GameChat.

For buyers, the draw is simple. Mario Kart World is billed as the biggest Mario Kart game yet. Donkey Kong Bananza brings back Donkey Kong alongside Pauline. Pokémon Pokopia takes a different turn, casting the player as a Ditto transformed to look like a human in a life sim. That spread gives the bundle three game choices at launch, but not an unlimited one.

The bundle is being sold by participating retailers rather than through a universal launch channel, which means availability may vary by store and the offer lasts only while supplies do. The savings are based on Nintendo's suggested retail price for the system and each game purchased on its own, so the deal matters most for people already planning to buy both.

Nintendo's 4K promise also comes with limits that matter in the fine print. The company says a compatible display is required, and 4K output is capped at 60 frames per second. Online features, including GameChat, also require Internet access, a membership and a Nintendo Account.

That leaves the bundle doing what launch bundles are meant to do: make an expensive new console easier to justify, without changing the fact that the clock is already running. For anyone waiting to pick up Nintendo's new system, early June is the first real window, and once stores sell through their allotment, the offer is gone.
