released a new US LBM Coaches Poll listing that gives South Carolina 91 points, Florida 81 and a cluster of other teams varying totals, while also naming the 2026 US LBM Board of Coaches. The poll is built from weekly Top 25 ballots cast by Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches, so the numbers are the first public snapshot of how coaches are viewing the field right now.
That matters because the rankings are not a one-off exercise. The Coaches Poll runs weekly through the regular season, and each ballot carries a simple weight: 25 points for first place, 24 for second and one point for 25th. In other words, every point in this release reflects a coach’s judgment, not a computer formula, and the totals are the clearest read on where the voting panel is leaning at this stage.
The list also shows how the 2026 panel is being assembled. The coaches are chosen by random draw, conference by conference plus independents, from a pool of coaches who have already told the American Football Coaches Association they are willing to participate. Tim Albin is on that board for Charlotte, along with Blake Anderson at Southern Mississippi, David Braun at Northwestern and Jeff Brohm at Louisville, among many others across the Football Bowl Subdivision.
What the release does not show is the full order behind every point total. South Carolina leads the group on 91, Florida follows on 81, and UTSA and Duke are tied on 76, but the rest of the teams are only identifiable by the points attached to them, not by a complete rank sequence in the text provided. That leaves the shape of the Top 25 partly visible and partly obscured: enough to show who got traction, not enough to show exactly how the full board slotted every team.
For now, that missing order is the only real gap in an otherwise straightforward weekly update. The poll will keep coming, the board will keep changing by season, and the next release will show whether the coaches keep rewarding the same teams or start moving them around.
