JoJo Siwa says she and Chris Hughes independently landed on the same engagement ring. The blue emerald-shaped design came from Google, and she says the coincidence was so unlikely it stopped both of them cold.
The timing is why the moment is drawing attention now. Siwa and Hughes met in April 2025 on season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK and confirmed their relationship in June 2025, so talk of rings is landing as the pair nears a year and a half together.
Siwa shared the detail at the 12th Annual Industry Dance Awards, where she said that if Hughes ever proposes, she wants the ring to be entirely his design. She even told her mother to pass that message along, because she wanted the choice to feel personal rather than guided by her own taste. But that is where the story turns: she had already searched for ring ideas herself and saved a dream image, then over dinner one night asked Hughes what he thought her dream ring might look like.
What happened next sounds almost scripted. The pair counted to three and showed each other their ideas, only to realize they were holding the same photo from Google. Siwa said the ring was a blue emerald shape, and said the odds of them choosing the exact same design were extremely slim.
That leaves the part no one can answer yet. Siwa wants the proposal to be Hughes's call, but she has already made her preferences clear, and the matching ring image suggests he may already be thinking along the same lines. Whether he actually proposes is still unknown, but the design question may already be settled.
