Kim Jong-un In A Coma rumours spread after health scare claims on X

Rumours spread over the weekend that Kim Jong-un had suffered a brain haemorrhage, fallen into a coma and died. The claims moved fast on X, but there is no concrete evidence to back them up.

The chatter is being searched now because it attached a date to the speculation: Kim Jong-un’s last public appearance was on October 13, when he opened a new museum. That detail gave the story a fixed point and helped the claims about his health spread beyond a passing post.

One account on X, posted by Wanjun Xie, said the North Korean leader had suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage and fallen into a coma. It then pushed the story further, saying medical experts from Peking Union Medical College Hospital had been sent to North Korea, that Kim was transferred for emergency treatment, and later that he had died and his body had been secretly sent back. The same account also tied the rumours to Kim Ju-ae and said the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese People's Liberation Army had moved into emergency posture, including a claim about 9,000 troops and Level III alert.

That is where the story starts to break apart. An account on X said the rumours came from Ji Seong-ho, but there was no trace of any interview with him, and he had not spoken to the media for several years. The Daily Star also found that he had stopped using his own YouTube channel two years ago. With no interview to verify and no updates on North Korea's main news site, the claims remained just that — claims.

For now, the gap matters more than the gossip. The rumours about Kim Jong-un’s death and coma keep circulating because they fill a vacuum around his health, but the public evidence behind them is thin. Until something firmer appears, the safest reading is the simplest one: the claim has spread much farther than the proof.
