Avatar: Seven Havens is set to air on Friday, Oct. 9 on Paramount+, putting the next chapter of the Avatar universe in front of viewers at last. The new animated series comes from Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the creators who helped build the world that began with Avatar: The Last Airbender.

That is why fans of the Avatar are searching now for the Avatar: The Seven Havens release time. The show is not a one-off return to familiar ground. It is the third animated series in the franchise, continuing the same timeline as Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, and it arrives as a 13-episode season that begins with six 22-minute episodes sent to critics.

The focus of the new series falls on Pavi, a 10-year-old street kid who lives in Ellora, keeps a cave as her only home and has a giant cat-monkey named Geet for company. She also has no memory of anything beyond the past three years, which gives her story a hole at the center that no amount of world-building can fill. When she is told that she is the Avatar, her answer lands like a rejection of the role itself: “I can’t be an avatar. I’m no warrior.”

That disbelief matters because the series is set nearly two centuries later than the earlier shows and follows a world already scarred by a mysterious cataclysm blamed on Korra. Civilization is organized into seven havens, and Pavi’s long-lost twin sister, Nisha, is part of the story too. The setup gives the franchise a familiar spine, but it also asks viewers to meet a heroine who does not sound ready to become one.

What remains unanswered is the exact moment Paramount+ will make it available on Friday. The date is fixed, the season length is set and the first review episodes are already out in the open. The release time is the last piece fans are still waiting to pin down.
