Marvel Television has unveiled the first logo for Marvel Zodiac, a new live-action spy thriller headed for Disney+ in 2028. Brad Winderbaum said casting will begin in the next couple of weeks and shooting is set to start in London in the spring, giving the project its first real production timetable.
The announcement came during Marvel Television’s New York Comic-Con panel, where Winderbaum offered the clearest sign yet that the series is moving beyond a title card and into casting. For viewers tracking Marvel Television’s next chapter, the timing matters because Marvel Zodiac is the first new live-action show announced since Ironheart, and it arrives as the company keeps reshaping its Disney+ lineup.
No additional details were immediately available, which leaves the central question hanging: what, exactly, is Marvel Zodiac? The title suggests a spy thriller with an organized, code-driven structure, but Marvel has not yet said who will lead it or how the story will connect to the wider MCU. That silence stands out because the next few weeks are already defined, with casting about to begin and London production scheduled for spring.
The reveal also lands in a period when Marvel Television is showing both expansion and retrenchment. Wonder Man was canceled just a few months after it premiered in January, despite having been renewed for a second season and earning Yahya Abdul-Mateen II an Emmy nomination for lead actor. At the same time, Daredevil: Born Again is set to end with next year’s Season 3, which will include Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron First. Against that backdrop, Marvel Zodiac looks less like a side project than a test of what kind of live-action shows Marvel wants to keep building for Disney+.
That makes the next casting wave the key checkpoint. If the series is going to make its 2028 target, Marvel Television needs to move quickly from logo reveal to a cast, a production start and, eventually, a story that can justify the wait. For now, the logo is the promise; the next couple of weeks should show whether Marvel Zodiac is just a name or the start of a new lane for Marvel Television.
