Navone also gives Argentina another layer. He became the first Argentine to beat Novak Djokovic at a tennis major since 2005, then reached the third round at the US Open before losing to Tomás Etcheverry. In doubles, Molteni and Andreozzi bring a partnership that has been tested often: they have played 21 matches together on the professional circuit and won 16 of them, including three ATP Challenger Tour titles in Caltanissetta in 2016 and in Szczecin and Buenos Aires in 2019.
Frana said Ruca Che looks great and that the stands are close enough to make the support feel tight, a setting he believes can matter when the tie tightens. Cerúndolo echoed that mood, saying the crowd should be able to really feel involved and give it their all to reward them.
The format leaves little room for drift. The winner of this tie moves into the 2027 Qualifiers, while the loser drops back to fight for a place in the next round of the Davis Cup ladder next February.
