A judge has thrown out Matt Kalil’s lawsuit against Haley Kalil over her public remarks about their marriage and his manhood size, ending a dispute that turned a private breakup into a courtroom fight. Haley Kalil said she was relieved the matter was over and that she never wanted to be in a courtroom discussing matters of her own life.
The ruling lands now because it closes a case built around a November 2025 Twitch livestream, when Haley Kalil discussed intimate details of the marriage and said, “He was like two Coke cans on top of each other, maybe even a third.” Matt Kalil sued for invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment, sought more than $75,000 in damages and asked for a jury trial.
Haley Kalil also said she did not mention Matt Kalil’s name during the livestream and hoped the ruling would encourage women everywhere to speak openly about what they have been through. Her attorney, Matthew Bialick, said the court found that she was speaking about her body, her life and her marriage, and that she was talking about the trauma she went through and what led to her divorce. He said no woman should need her ex-husband’s permission to tell the story of her own marriage and no woman should be sued for talking about her own body.
That is the point where the case split apart. Haley Kalil said she was describing her own experience. Matt Kalil said the public circulation of her comments brought unwanted attention and invasive commentary, and that family members, including his current wife, had been forced to endure it. He also argued that the posts drove traffic, engagement and monetization across social media and media coverage.
The dismissal leaves the marriage dispute where it began: in the open, but without the lawsuit Haley Kalil asked a judge to throw out. She married Matt Kalil in Hawaii in 2015, filed for divorce in 2022 citing irreconcilable difference, and he later married Keilani Asmus in April 2024. Haley Kalil is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, while Matt Kalil has kept a private life after his NFL career.
