The venue’s listing only adds to the suspicion: tickets for Thursday, Sept. 3 are available only at the door, doors open at 6 p.m., no one may line up on Grizzly Rose property before 4 p.m., and immediate entry is required at purchase.
Brooks has also been tied to the venue before. He mentioned the Grizzly Rose in the 1995 song “The Old Stuff,” and he reportedly has said he would love to play there again. He last performed at the Grizzly Rose in Denver in 1991, according to the timeline circulating with the rumor, and that history has given fans another reason to read the Thursday show as something more than an ordinary booking.
