Chelsea Football Club has named Circle Internet Group, Inc as its Principal Partner and official front-of-shirt partner, but the branding will not reach the shirts until the 2026/27 season. When it does, Circle and USDC will appear across Chelsea Men’s, Chelsea Women and Academy kits, with the first public showing set for the men’s first Premier League home game of that season against Brighton.

The timing matters because this is a sponsorship announcement with a delayed start, not an immediate shirt change. Chelsea is effectively locking in a future front-of-shirt deal now, giving the club and Circle a runway before the 2026/27 campaign begins and before the branding is seen in competition.

Chelsea describes Circle as one of the world’s leading internet financial platform companies, founded in 2013, and says USDC is the world’s leading regulated stablecoin. In the club’s telling, USDC is a trusted digital dollar built to move money globally with internet speed and 24/7 availability, which places the partnership squarely in the broader push to make digital finance feel ordinary rather than experimental.

Jeremy Allaire said Circle built USDC on the belief that money should work seamlessly for everyone everywhere, the way the internet does. Kash Razzaghi called the deal a shared view of where the world is heading, while Jason Gannon said it puts Chelsea at the forefront of football’s digital evolution. Todd Kline said Circle is changing how money moves around the world.

One detail gives the deal a sharper edge: Aki Mandhar said Chelsea Women will be introduced to Circle and USDC in their inaugural season at Stamford Bridge. That ties the sponsorship not just to a shirt, but to a specific stage in Chelsea’s women’s side, where the branding is meant to land alongside a new chapter for the team.

For Chelsea, the partnership is being sold as more than a logo placement. It is a statement that football’s commercial future may look less like a static shirt deal and more like a long-term alignment between a global club and a digital payments brand. What remains unknown is the commercial value, duration and wider rights package behind it, but the most visible part is already fixed: USDC by Circle will first appear when the 2026/27 season begins.
