Gold price today jumped sharply at 10 a.m. on the new week, with both domestic and world prices moving higher at the same time. World gold rose to 4,632 USD an ounce, equal to 145.71 million đồng per lượng, while domestic bars stayed near the 147 million đồng per lượng mark on both sides of the market.

That move matters because traders were already leaning bullish after last week’s gains, and the new price round quickly gave them another reason to watch the screen. At the same time, the weaker USD and lower bond yields continued to support gold, keeping demand firm from both Wall Street and Main Street.

At Bảo Tín Minh Châu, Vàng Rồng Thăng Long was quoted at 147.50 million đồng per lượng for buying and 151.50 million đồng per lượng for selling. Gold bars were listed at 147 million đồng per lượng for buying and 150 million đồng per lượng for selling, while SJC gold bars at DOJI were also at 147 million đồng per lượng for buying and 150 million đồng per lượng for selling. In ring gold, SJC rings traded at 14.65 million đồng per chỉ for buying and 15.03 million đồng per chỉ for selling, and Bảo Tín Minh Châu round plain gold rings were at 14.75 million đồng per chỉ and 15.15 million đồng per chỉ.

The world price was nearly 30 USD an ounce above the Sunday session, showing how quickly the rally accelerated at the start of the week. Gold has now risen for three consecutive weeks, and if it can hold above 4,600 USD an ounce convincingly, the next target traders are watching is 4,680 USD an ounce.

Still, the pace of the climb has left the market exposed to a technical correction if profit-taking starts to hit. That is the part of the move traders cannot ignore: the sentiment is strongly optimistic, but a fast run higher can invite short-term selling even when the bigger trend remains up.

This week’s attention now turns to U.S. data, including consumer confidence, core PCE inflation, GDP quý II growth and labor data, for a clearer read on whether gold can keep its footing above 4,600 USD. If it does, the market will have room to chase the 4,680 USD target; if it does not, the pullback risk that follows every sharp rally will be back in focus.
