William Osula is set to remain at Newcastle United for the upcoming campaign after a January move to Eintracht Frankfurt fell through in the closing days of the winter window. The striker, who had spent much of last season linked with a switch to the Bundesliga, is now staying on Tyneside.

He finished the season with seven goals from eight starts, then carried that form into pre-season by featuring prominently under Matthias Jaissle. His eye-catching display in the 1-1 friendly draw against Strasbourg only strengthened the case that he can be part of the next Newcastle United campaign rather than a player heading elsewhere.
