Blaze Entertainment has added the Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack to the Evercade lineup, setting the collection for a launch on October 30 and opening pre-orders now. The release brings Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie together on a single cartridge for all Evercade systems.
The timing matters because Evercade users are not just getting a straightforward reissue. The pack was specially developed for Evercade and built in partnership with Rare, with enhancements and quality-of-life improvements folded in for the hardware. It is the kind of release that collectors and retro players tend to watch closely, because it promises the original games in a form that is meant to fit modern use.
That balance is also where the release becomes more interesting. The collection is being framed as faithful to the original versions, yet it also adds save states, refined analog and digital controls across handheld and home console devices, improved menus, visual options tuned for each device, and a cheat menu designed to help players uncover hidden secrets. It even includes a music player with previously unreleased music from the games, which pushes it beyond a simple nostalgia package.
Banjo-Kazooie is the original game in the franchise, while Banjo-Tooie is the sequel, and the two together form the core of the new Evercade release. For players, the next fixed point is the October 30 launch. The one detail Blaze Entertainment has not put on the table is price, which leaves pre-orders open without the final cost that many buyers will want before deciding whether to lock in a copy.
That leaves the launch date as the real marker to watch. The games are confirmed, the hardware support is set and the cartridge is on the way; what remains unanswered is how much the Double Pack will cost when it reaches Evercade on October 30.
