Burger King has brought a Paw Patrol King Jr. Kids’ Meal to restaurants nationwide, adding six collectible toys to its latest push for younger customers. The meal is available now at participating locations for a limited time, with Rex among the lineup and making his first big-screen debut.
The timing is the point. Burger King is leaning on Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie ahead of its Aug. 14 release, turning the movie moment into a meal offer that fans can buy right now. The King Jr. meal lets customers choose a hamburger, cheeseburger or Crown Nuggets, then pick onion rings, applesauce or fries on the side, with apple juice, regular or chocolate milk, lemonade or any BK soft drink to drink.
The toy set includes Skye, Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Rhubarb the T-Rex and Rex, giving the promotion six collectible figures instead of a single branded item. That matters because the chain is not just selling a themed meal; it is selling a short-run prize chase built around a property that is about to get another movie.
There is a catch, though, and it is the one that will decide how far the promotion reaches. The meal is available nationwide only at participating locations, and Burger King has not said how long the offer will last or whether every participating restaurant will have every toy on hand. That leaves the promotion broad in name but uneven in practice, which is exactly what makes it a limited-time draw rather than a standing menu item.
It also fits a pattern Burger King has been building with movie tie-ins. The chain launched The Addams Family collaboration with a purple Whopper in 2024, followed last year by a SpongeBob Menu devoted to Bikini Bottom and, more recently, a Star Wars drive-thru promotion tied to The Mandalorian and Grogu. This one is aimed squarely at Paw Patrol fans, and for now the clock is already running.
For families deciding whether to stop in, the answer is simple: the meal is live now, but the toy mix and the end date may be the first things to disappear.
