The American Legion has published its annual Veterans Day deals and discounts list for veterans, servicemembers and their families, gathering a fresh roundup of meal offers and savings tied to Nov. 11. The list was compiled by staff research and checked with businesses wherever possible.
That matters now because many of the offers land on a single day, or within a narrow window around it, and several come with strings attached: dine-in only, military ID, proof of service or an early cutoff in the afternoon. For readers searching Veterans Day free meals, the timing is the point. A few of the offers are already available for short stretches, while others are anchored directly to Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Among the deals, 7 Brew is offering 50% off a drink order at participating stands on Nov. 11. 54th Street Grill & Bar is offering up to $10 off any entrée for veterans and active-duty military on Wednesday, Nov. 11, and the offer is dine-in only. 99 Restaurants is offering a free lunch from its Veterans Day menu with any entrée purchase on 11/11, but only from opening until 4 p.m., and military ID is required. 110 Grill is offering a complimentary lunch from a select menu until 4 p.m. on 11/11 for all veterans and active-duty military.
Applebee’s is offering a special Veterans Day meal on Wednesday, 11/11, for veterans and active duty military, and says it is marking the 19th consecutive year of the offer. The meal is dine-in only. The American Dairy Association of Indiana says veterans, active-duty servicemembers and their family can visit the Indiana State Fair Dairy Bar on Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a free milkshake, while friends and Dairy Bar fans can buy one for $5, with proceeds going to the American Legion Department of Indiana.
Other offers stretch beyond a single meal. Aspen Creek Grill says current or former military members can pick up a $15 voucher between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 11, then redeem it at any Aspen Creek Grill location through Dec. 24. The voucher is valid for dine-in visits only and excludes alcoholic beverages. The chain will also continue its annual tradition of setting a Fallen Soldiers table on Veterans Day. Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar is giving veterans and active duty service members a complimentary meal on Nov. 11, including a free BD’s All-American Burger with cheese and a classic side from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with valid military ID or proof of service required.
There is a reason the list comes with a caution. The offers have been verified wherever possible, but they can change and may not be available in all areas. Benihana’s promotion, which runs Monday, Nov. 9 through Wednesday, Nov. 11, shows how broad these Veterans Day offers can be: eligible guests include active military, veterans, first responders and Gold Star families, and the deal requires the purchase of an appetizer to receive a complimentary five-course hibachi entrée with choices that include hibachi chicken, hibachi steak and hibachi salmon. For anyone planning to use one of the deals, the next step is simple: check with the restaurant, retailer or other business before going.
