Real Sociedad and Rayo Vallecano meet on Sunday at the Reale Arena in San Sebastián, and the match lands at a sharp moment for both clubs. Real Sociedad are fifth in LaLiga, while Rayo sit 12th, but the table alone does not tell the whole story here.
That is why the game is already drawing attention from viewers looking for the live television and streaming options. Real Sociedad have mixed recent results, drawing 1-1 with Lyon in the Europa League before losing 2-1 to Athletic de Bilbao in their last league match, even after a 6-0 win over Lillestroem in the Europa League and a 5-2 victory at Málaga in LaLiga. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side has to offer its best version at home, because this is the kind of match that can shift quickly.
Rayo bring their own case for attention. They beat Celta de Vigo 3-0 in their most recent LaLiga match and have lost only one of their last five games across all competitions, which gives them enough momentum to make this feel less like a routine home assignment than a straightforward ranking exercise. The teams have already shared a 3-3 draw in Vallecas in April, and Rayo won 1-0 at the Reale Arena in October 2025, so the recent record suggests a tight contest rather than a clean edge for the hosts.
That tension is exactly why the fixture matters now: Real Sociedad are higher in the table and playing at home, but Rayo have shown they can live with them and punish mistakes. For viewers, the practical question is simple even if the broadcast details are not laid out here: this is a Sunday LaLiga match worth tracking from kickoff, with the next confirmed moment being Real Sociedad vs. Rayo Vallecano at the Reale Arena.
