Inter head to Rotterdam on Tuesday 3 November for a Matchday 4 Champions League meeting with Feyenoord, and Cristian Chivu says his side are ready for the challenge. The match kicks off at 21:00 CET in the 2026/27 league phase, with Inter trying to keep pace after a slow start.

Chivu used his pre-match press conference at Stadion Feijenoord "De Kuip" to frame the night as one Inter must treat seriously. He said he believes in hard work and in the team, and he also pointed to the table pressure behind the visit: Inter have three points, while around 16 are generally needed to finish in the top eight.

That is why this trip has become more than a routine away match. In this format, the top eight avoid an extra knockout round, and every point shapes the route through the league phase. For Inter, the margin for error is already getting smaller, which gives Tuesday’s game a weight that goes beyond one result in Rotterdam.

Chivu also drew on his own history at De Kuip. He said he won the Dutch Cup there and described the return as special, but not comfortable. He made clear that the atmosphere will be difficult for Inter and that Feyenoord usually raise their game at home in the Champions League.

He went further, calling Feyenoord a team with great intensity and plenty of quality, especially in attack. Chivu named Hadj Moussa and Zechiël as standouts and said they have players who are dangerous in one-on-one situations, plus a striker who brings team-mates into play. The message was simple: Inter cannot expect space or rhythm to come for free.

There was also a practical note from the camp. Chivu said Provedel is back, while Pavard has returned to training with the squad after injury, giving Inter more options before a game that demands control and discipline. Still, he kept the focus on the bigger idea, saying Inter need to make the most of their own strengths and that setbacks must be learned from, not carried forward.

For Inter, the visit to Feyenoord is now a test of whether belief can turn into points. Chivu sounded confident enough, but the table leaves little room for comfort: a team that wants the top eight has to start playing like it, and Tuesday night in Rotterdam is the next chance to prove it.
