The Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets meet again on Sunday, Nov. 1, this time at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. EST, and the game is the second of four regular-season meetings between the teams.
That makes the rematch easy to find on the schedule and hard to ignore in the standings. Indiana beat Brooklyn 136-109 on Oct. 25, and the Pacers enter this one at 2-4 while the Nets are still looking for their first win at 0-5. For Tyrese Haliburton, it is another chance to help steady a Pacers team that came into the 26-27 season trying to build on its 2025 NBA Finals run.
The first meeting already showed the gap between the teams, but it did not end the season series. The Pacers won it 2-1 last season and have controlled the matchup for years, holding a 117-85 edge over Brooklyn in regular-season play. At home, Indiana has been even stronger, going 69-32 against the Nets.
Brooklyn did not stand still before the season. The Nets drafted Mikel Brown Jr. with the sixth pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, added Joshua Jefferson at 28 and Tyler Bilodeau at 43, and then reshaped the roster again in a four-team deal that sent Nicolas Claxton and the 33rd pick away for Julius Randle and the 28th pick. They also signed Keon Ellis and Moritz Wagner, re-signed Day'Ron Sharpe and Josh Minott, and brought in Grant Nelson on a two-way deal.
That leaves this game with two truths at once: Indiana already handled Brooklyn once, and the schedule gives the Nets a fast chance to respond. A 27-point loss can linger, but in a four-game series it also becomes the starting point for the next test. The next one comes Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, where the Pacers will try to make the early-season gap look even wider and the Nets will try to show the first meeting was not the whole story.
