Stefanie Landeweer won her second straight Jeopardy! game on Thursday, Oct. 29, and pushed her total winnings to $30,000. She did it by adding $10,600 to the $19,400 she earned in her first victory, then keeping the title after Final Jeopardy left all three contestants wrong.

That is why viewers looking up Stephanie Landeeweer Jeopardy are finding the name again: her run did not end with one win. It stretched into a second night, and the result kept her in the champion’s chair for another appearance on Friday, Oct. 30, against Erica Doornek and Sam Neal. For a contestant who had already broken through once, the bigger question now is how long she can keep going.

Landeweer’s path through the game was efficient from the start. She put together 20 correct responses against only one incorrect response across the first two rounds, finished the opening round with $6,000 and reached $15,600 going into Final Jeopardy. Sarah Sinclair sat on $17,900 at that point, with Andrew Medlin at $1,800, so Landeweer was chasing from second place rather than protecting a lead.

The last clue came from the Authors category and asked for the humorist and playwright whose poem “Teddy Bear” appeared in Punch magazine in February 1924. The correct response was A.A. Milne, but none of the three contestants came up with it. Landeweer wagered $5,000 and dropped to $10,600, Sinclair wagered $13,301 and fell to $4,599, and Medlin wagered $1,799 and finished with $1. Sinclair’s bigger bet turned a late lead into a loss, while Landeweer’s smaller risk was enough to preserve the victory.

Her second win also completed a tidy two-night climb: $19,400 on Wednesday, Oct. 28, then $10,600 more on Thursday for $30,000 overall. Landeweer is a visiting assistant professor of chemistry at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she teaches analytical and environmental chemistry and studies UV filter chemicals in marine environments. She earned her doctorate in environmental chemistry from Florida International University in 2023, and her next test was set for Friday night, when the show’s official lineup listed Erica Doornek and Sam Neal as her opponents.
