Chrishell Stause says she will not watch Selling Sunset Season 10, and says her lawyers will be watching instead if the show crosses into defamation. The comments come as she has publicly dug in on her departure from the reality TV series and made clear that, for her, the next season is something to avoid rather than follow.
That makes the timing notable. The new season has not yet been given an official release date, but Stause has now put viewers on notice that she is distancing herself from it before it arrives. She said she announced her exit in November 2025, and she has been firm that the show is no longer something she needs in her life or her work.
Stause said she does not need the show financially and described it as bad for her mental health. She also said she had thought carefully about leaving after years of going back and forth on the decision. In her telling, this was not a snap judgment. It was a long pull toward the end of a 19-year run, one she said she had already spent time weighing before deciding to walk away.
Even so, she did not frame the split as bitter. Stause said she did not mean her remarks in a bad way, adding that she had a good time on the show and that it brought her amazing things. She said she wants the cast to go on and do their thing, and she repeated that she wishes the series well. But that goodwill stops short of blind trust. If Season 10 includes anything she believes damages her, she said her legal team will let her know.
For now, the unresolved question is not whether Stause is done with Selling Sunset. She has already answered that. The question is whether Season 10 will stay clear of the kind of material she says could trigger a legal challenge, or whether the show will test how far her exit can be pushed on screen.
