Patrick Mahomes is ranked 13th among quarterbacks in the Week 7 fantasy rankings, a jolt for managers who usually expect him much higher on any weekly list. In a week built around start-sit choices, that number matters as much as any matchup note because it changes what fantasy players do with one of the league’s biggest names.
That is why the search for QB rankings Week 7 lands here: fantasy lineups are being set now, and the top tier is not as simple as reputation. Joe Burrow has stacked multiple touchdowns in every game since Week 1 and has delivered QB1 performances in each of his past three games played, while Jared Goff comes off the bye ranked second among quarterbacks in fantasy points per game. Bryce Young is also forcing his way into the conversation, leading all quarterbacks with 309.8 passing yards per game and sitting fourth in fantasy points per game after a QB8 finish last week.
The numbers behind the rest of the pool make the picture even sharper. Jordan Love turned in QB6 last week with 276 passing yards, one passing touchdown and a rushing score, and Green Bay’s 65.7% pass rate keeps the volume in play. C.J. Stroud sits sixth in total fantasy points and has finished top-13 in three straight games. Matthew Stafford has completed 74.7% of his throws over the past two weeks with a 112.5 passer rating, and Kyler Murray is coming off his best game of the season. Detroit has allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, which is part of why Goff’s spot looks so strong.
There is still one ranking that does not fully line up with the recent numbers, and it is Dak Prescott’s. He finished last week with the second-most expected points among quarterbacks but posted a season-low QB19 performance, even though he has passed for at least 250 yards in each of his past five games. That kind of split is the reason weekly quarterback rankings can swing so sharply: volume can be there, but fantasy points do not always follow.
For managers, that is the real Week 7 takeaway. Mahomes at 13th is not a dismissal so much as a warning that this slate rewards form, efficiency and matchup more than name value. The next move happens in fantasy lineups, where one lower ranking can decide whether a star stays in the starting spot or gets passed over for a hotter play.
