How Old Is North West? Kim Kardashian Recreates Her 13-Year-Old’s Style

Kim Kardashian turned Halloween into a family lookalike moment on Oct. 20, dressing as her 13-year-old daughter North West in a TikTok video that copied the teen’s edge from head to toe. The makeover leaned into the exact details people associate with North: blue hair, faux piercings and a full-glam finish.

Kardashian wore an all-black outfit built around a short-sleeved cybersigilism T-shirt layered over a striped long-sleeve and a pleated mini-skirt, then added North’s spiky skull necklace and bracelets. She finished the look with blue hair, a faux bridge piercing and thigh and finger dermal piercings, and later showed gem-adorned, duck-shaped nails in an Instagram follow-up.

The reason the post landed so quickly is simple: North’s age is part of the draw, and the costume was not a generic Halloween nod. It was a straight recreation of a style that has become one of the most recognizable things about the 13-year-old, down to the blue hair Kardashian has repeatedly said she allows because it makes her daughter happy.

That openness came up before the costume. In October 2025, Kardashian said on Call Her Daddy that she tells North, “If you want blue hair, it is what it is,” and added that she would “never take that creative away from her.” She also said, “Let’s experiment with every hair color,” and that she nurtures her daughter’s creative side.

The costume also touched the line between style and limits. North told Dazed in August that she really wants a bridge piercing but is not allowed, while Kardashian has described a long-running fascination with piercings, saying on a recent TikTok Live that her daughter wanted her septum and eyebrow pierced even as a baby and would show up in pre-K with fake piercings. North pushed back against criticism during the livestream, saying, “Stop saying I’m demonic just because I like to dress this way,” and, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Kardashian’s post drew quick approval from family and friends, with Kris Jenner writing, “This is so fun!!!!!” and La La Anthony saying, “U went crrrazzzzyyyyy.” But the more revealing part of the moment is what it showed about the household dynamic: Kardashian is not just allowing North’s look, she is now using it as the template for a public Halloween transformation. The unanswered question is whether North saw the costume as tribute, teasing or both — but the resemblance was strong enough that the answer hardly changed what the post made clear.

The bigger picture is that Kardashian has moved from defending North’s style to mirroring it in public. For now, the 13-year-old remains the trendsetter in the family, and her mother’s Halloween switch-up only made that harder to miss.
