GoldenSky is coming back to Sacramento in 2027, and organizers have now put names to the long-awaited return. The GoldenSky country music festival will return to Discovery Park on Oct. 9-10, 2027, with Zach Bryan and Megan Moroney among the artists leading a bill revealed with a drone show over the Tower Bridge.
The lineup reaches well beyond its top two names. Ty Myers and Treaty Oak Revival are also on the bill, along with Whiskey Myers, Hudson Westbrook, Max McNown, Wyatt Flores, Vincent Mason, Avery Anna, Braxton Keith, Kaitlin Butts, Alexandra Kay and The Band Perry, among others. Ticket sales begin Friday.
The announcement matters because GoldenSky has been off Sacramento’s calendar since 2024, leaving the city without the multi-day country festival for two years. It was first flagged for a return in June during Sacramento's annual State of Tourism address, but the full lineup now gives the comeback real shape and a date readers can circle.
That return did not come easily. Organizers said competition in the festival market and the difficulty of booking country artists were part of the reason GoldenSky skipped 2025 and 2026. Danny Wimmer Presents, which produces both GoldenSky and Aftershock, has said the festivals are expected to come back on back-to-back weekends in 2027 at Discovery Park, putting one of Sacramento’s biggest live-music weekends back in motion.
For now, the question is not whether GoldenSky is returning. It is whether fans move quickly enough when sales open Friday to lock in a spot for a festival that spent two years on the sidelines and is now trying to reclaim its place in Sacramento.
