Pedro Pascal showed up with his sister, Lux Pascal, at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Behemoth! on 13 October, and the two leaned in for a hug as photographers captured them on the red carpet. He wore a camel jacket. She arrived in a burgundy dress.
The joint appearance drew attention because it came at a moment when readers were already looking for Pedro Pascal and Lux Pascal together, and because the pair do not often step out side by side in public. They have made occasional joint appearances on major red carpets before, including at the Emmys in January 2024, but this outing still landed as a notable one.
Behemoth! is the film at the center of the appearance. In it, Pascal plays a renowned, prolific cellist who returns to Los Angeles to compose film scores, while Olivia Wilde appears as his character’s ex-girlfriend. Will Arnett, Hank Azaria and Matthew Lillard are also in the cast, and the film has already had a New York premiere.
The red-carpet moment also sits inside a longer public family story. Lux Pascal came out as transgender in 2021 on the cover of Chilean magazine Ya and graduated from Juilliard School in 2023. Pedro Pascal has spoken openly about her before, saying he sees her as one of the most powerful people he knows and adding that his protective side is “lethal,” but the two were photographed here simply as siblings sharing a quick embrace before the premiere.
That is what makes the appearance stand out even without a bigger announcement attached to it: it was rare, it was personal, and it arrived just as Behemoth! moves toward its US release on 4 December. The film now has two premieres behind it, and the next milestone is whether the wider audience follows the family moment as closely as the movie itself.
