The Ministry of Defense will authorize deployment of the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond on October 20, opening a new set of long-range tools and tactical armor for Helldivers 2. The release folds sniper fire, energy weapons and support gear into one package, with the premium lineup built around precision at distance.

That is why players are looking at the Scope of Authority Warbond now. The launch date is fixed, the kit list is public, and the draw of the set is obvious: the R-40 Sightliner brings bolt-action power with armor-piercing rounds, the AMW-20 Apex adds a backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle with assisted reload, and the LAS-44 Nova offers a high-precision thermal shot after a short charge cycle.

The Premium Warbond also includes the G-11 Caltrops, which scatters proximity-detonated submunitions that slow and stun foes, along with the SS-33 Mimetic Marshal light armor and SS-15 Focal Point medium armor. Both armors carry the Stationary Shroud passive, and both lean into the same fieldcraft theme: light-diffusing netting, adaptive fiber technology and integrated camouflage built for staying hard to spot.

There is one wrinkle in the otherwise clean long-range pitch. The P-44 Mist is part of the same release, but it is a one-handed machine pistol meant for close-range emergency use, a reminder that even a precision loadout needs something fast when the distance collapses. The mix makes the warbond less about a single weapon class than about giving players a flexible kit for stealth, overwatch and a backup plan when the fight closes in.

What remains unanswered is the price. The deployment date is set for October 20, but the cost is not. For now, the next thing to watch is whether the Ministry of Defense keeps the launch broad and immediate when the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond arrives, because that is the point when the new weapons and armor will actually matter in Helldivers 2.
