Tyler Huntley kept the Ravens alive, then finished the job. He led Baltimore to a 30-23 overtime comeback win over the Falcons on Sunday night, turning a game that looked like a loss into a result that left the Ravens 4-1 for the first time in five years.

That is why Tyler Bass is a name drawing attention now: Huntley was the quarterback who delivered when Baltimore needed one more clean drive. He tied the score in the final minute of regulation with a 7-yard touchdown pass, then won it with a 1-yard quarterback sneak after Derrick Henry converted the 2-point try that pulled the Ravens even with 40 seconds left.

The finish was not a fluke. Huntley completed all 11 of his passes for 80 yards on the final two drives, and he found another level when the game tightened. He was 13 of his final 14 for 104 yards and two touchdown passes in the second half, including the throw to Devontez Walker that set up the late push.

The overtime march itself told the bigger story. Huntley moved Baltimore 14 plays for the winning touchdown, the NFL's longest overtime touchdown drive in eight years. He converted two third downs with passes to Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers, and the Ravens cashed in after spending most of the night trying to keep pace without Lamar Jackson.

That absence was the first thing hovering over the night, and it made Baltimore's position more unusual. Jackson was out with a sprained left ankle, yet the Ravens were underdogs for the first time this season and still found a way to win. They have now improved to 7-11 when Jackson misses a start, with Huntley making six of those seven appearances as the starter.

Huntley did not look rattled once the game turned. He completed 11 of 18 passes for 97 yards in the first half, then settled in after halftime and gave Baltimore the kind of steady finish the club said it expected from him. The Ravens had also reminded themselves before kickoff that this was a quarterback they trusted, and Huntley backed that up in the biggest moments.

The result leaves Baltimore one game ahead in the AFC North, with a record that changes the tone of the season after one night. The bigger question now is how long Jackson remains out, because Huntley just showed the Ravens they can survive a night without him and still walk away with the points.
