San Francisco Fleet Week 2026 is underway through Monday, turning the northern waterfront into the city’s busiest stretch of the week. Free ship tours, military band performances, the Parade of Ships and the Blue Angels air show are all on the schedule, with the biggest rush set for Friday through Sunday.

The reason people are searching now is simple: the event is not a single show but a run of them, and the timing matters. Free ship tours are scheduled at Piers 27 and 35 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, military band performances continue Thursday, and the Blue Angels are set to practice from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. before the weekend crowds arrive. On Friday, the Parade of Ships is scheduled to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by the Fleet Week air show from noon to 4 p.m.

The Blue Angels will headline that show between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island, and the displays continue Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., with flights possibly starting as early as 10 a.m. Those are the hours that will pull people toward Fisherman’s Wharf and Marina Green, where the biggest crowds and the most concentrated noise are expected.

That crowding is the part residents and visitors have to plan around. Fleet Fest at Fisherman’s Wharf runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, ship tours return at Piers 27 and 35, and K9 Heroes is set for Duboce Park on Saturday. Fleet Week organizers recommend public transportation, and special transit information has been posted for the air shows and the Parade of Ships. Geofencing will also be in effect for Waymo and Zoox near popular viewing areas and on the Embarcadero, a sign of how much traffic pressure the waterfront will absorb.

The noise will not be uniform across the city. The Marina and Pacific Heights are likely to hear more of the aircraft activity, while the Mission, Dogpatch and Noe Valley should generally be quieter. Fleet Week wraps up Monday with final ship tours from 9 a.m. to noon and a Marine band performance at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell, closing out a week that mixes public access with the unavoidable strain of a citywide event.
