Natalia Silva will fight Wang Cong for the vacant women’s flyweight title at UFC 332 on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The matchup gives Silva a direct shot at her first UFC championship after a long climb through the division.

UFC is listing Silva as the division’s No. 1 fighter and Wang as No. 8, turning a title vacancy into a meeting between the organization’s most active contender and one of its fastest risers. Silva enters with a 20-5-1 professional record, unbeaten in UFC since her debut in June 2022, while Wang comes in at 10-1 with four straight wins inside the promotion.

For Silva, the booking also marks the latest turn in a road that was slowed before it began. She started practicing taekwondo at 16 in 2013, was first scheduled to debut in January 2021, and then saw that plan interrupted by a fractured arm in training, another injury to the same arm and later a broken nose. Her UFC debut finally came on June 18, 2022, and since then she has won 14 consecutive fights, including victories over Jéssica Andrade, Alexa Grasso and Rose Namajunas in her three most recent outings.

The title itself became available after Valentina Shevchenko informed UFC that she could not compete for at least one year. Rather than wait out the division, UFC kept the UFC 332 date and matched Silva with Wang for the championship, leaving the winner to emerge from a vacant division that has been without its belt-holder since Shevchenko stepped aside. That decision also fits a bigger shift on fight night: UFC 332’s main card will air simultaneously on CBS and Paramount+, and UFC and Paramount+ say it is the first time a complete main card of a numbered UFC event has reached CBS in the United States.

Silva has spent years fighting through delays, injuries and a crowded division to reach this point. On Oct. 3, she finally gets the one thing a perfect UFC run has not yet delivered: a chance to turn that streak into a title.
