They also say Thomas later confronted Goldstein, walked away, returned to the kitchen and broke multiple items, which led to him being taken to a hotel before he was also disqualified. Lavin’s on-air explanation to the cast was blunt: all three had broken the code of conduct.

Fairthorne said she and Thomas made up after the show, and she added that she was told about Cory Wharton’s situation at home at the time, only to later think that story may not have been the full truth.
