Skylar Rae is the next challenger for Nikkita Lyons after winning a Fatal Four way on the Sept. 2 episode of EVOLVE. The finish came after Vanta the Unknown stepped in and took out Laynie Luck, opening the door for Rae to land Starstruck and get the pin.
That result changes the Evolve Women’s Title picture immediately. Lyons, the champion, now has a confirmed opponent in Rae, and the title direction that was still being decided on the Sept. 2 show now has a clear answer.
Rae had to get through Zena Sterling, Laynie Luck and Wren Sinclair to get there. She first sent Sinclair crashing out on the outside with a tornado DDT off the ring apron, while Luck later connected with an enziguri on Sterling. Sterling rolled out of the ring as the lights flashed and Luck was left alone in the ring, only for Vanta the Unknown to appear and remove Luck from the equation.
That interference mattered because the match was meant to settle who had earned the shot at Lyons, and it did so in a way that no clean pinfall on the three challengers could have matched. Rae still finished the job herself, but the path to the title match was altered by a figure who never offered an explanation and left the outcome looking less like a pure test and more like a moment with unfinished business attached to it.
After the bell, Lyons came face-to-face with Rae in the ring, and Wendy Choo’s face flashed on the screens. The matchup is set; the one detail still missing is when Rae will get her title shot against Lyons.
